ARCHITECT

PROJECT

Addition, renovation and restoration of a two storey single fronted Victorian Terrace.

COMPLETION

2009

11 St Vincent Place South Albert Park is a unique project that required experience, skill and passion to achieve the end result. Only four rooms of a dilapidated two storey Victoria terrace building were retained at the front of the property which was meticulously restored to its former grandeur. These were the living room, formal dining room, on the ground floor, and two bedrooms on the first floor where one of the bedrooms was converted into a luxury ensuite. The addition at the rear of the building provided for a basement private dining/function room, laundry, cellar and small gym. The first floor added a bathroom with three bedrooms and a small external deck area. The ground floor has a kitchen, family room, fireplace and powder room. This area extends through to an external courtyard that has a BBQ area with a large extensive ironbark timber deck. The private outdoor area leads you to a detached two storey barn style building that has a two car garage on the ground floor with an all-purpose bed/living area serviced by an ensuite. One of the main features of this luxury Albert Park residence is the narrow lap pool that has been constructed abutting two perimeter walls of the basement. It has windows that extend downwards from the ceiling line of the ground floor, through the waterline of the pool and into the basement. This allows natural light into the basement through the pool.
